PROGRAM OBJECTIVE

The primary purpose of the Student Engagement Program (STEP) is to promote learning, collaboration, communication, and unity among students of the Institute across all the departments viz:

  1. To Cultivate a Culture of Continuous Learning: Through STEP, we promote the idea that learning is not confined to the classroom.
  2. Cross-Pollination of Knowledge: By allowing students to share their subject-specific knowledge with peers from diverse backgrounds, we facilitate the transfer of expertise that goes beyond traditional classroom learning.
  3. Skill Development: Through workshops conducted by students for students, the program offers a golden opportunity to develop practical skills that extend beyond academic subjects.
  4. Breaking down Barriers: The program challenges the notion of departmentalization by creating a space where students collaborate regardless of their discipline.
  5. To Foster a Sense of Unity: By uniting students from various departments, the program strengthens the sense of community and shared identity within the Institute. This shared experience builds lasting relationships and a supportive network
  6. Leadership and Empowerment: The program provides students with the opportunity to take on leadership roles as workshop facilitators. This empowers them to share their expertise, enhance their communication skills, and develop a sense of responsibility.
  7. Contributing to Society: This program is the way of reciprocating the support received from the society, as part of corporate social responsibility.
